(A hacker could, for instance, write a program, rename it to end in .png, and then upload it maliciously to our site.) We could allow users to upload their pictures to a trusted image hosting website (like Imgur or Photobucket), and give us the image URL. We are actually about to introduce a "Dashboard" page for logged in users, and I think it would be great to incorporate this idea there.
